How the CPAP Prescription Renewal Works:

CPAP Prescription Overview:

If you want to get an updated Prescription for your New CPAP without all the hassle of another Doctor visit, we have the answer. Simply purchase this Prescription Package for $99 and we will get you an updated Prescription for your CPAP. Whether you are on the road with a broken CPAP, want to purchase that Travel CPAP you've been looking at, or just can't get to the Doctor. We can help.
When you purchase the Prescription Package we email you a quick form that you can fill out on your SmartPhone, Tablet, or Computer in a matter of seconds. Once we receive the completed form, we forward it to a Board-Certified Sleep Doctor that will generate an updated Prescription for you. The process takes only hours and is completed in the same business day in many cases.
So, stop waiting. Get back on therapy or upgrade that CPAP machine. A visit to the Doctor shouldn't slow you down from a good night's sleep.

When do you buy the CPAP?

The CPAP can be added to the same cart as the Prescription Package. So, after you add the Prescription Package to your cart, feel free to add the CPAP. You can check out with both products at the same time. Check out some of our CPAP options on our New CPAP Page. It has all the latest and greatest CPAPs available at the Best Prices available. Keep in mind that we will meet or beat ANY authorized dealer price you find on our Products.

Why do I need a Prescription for a CPAP?

It might seem strange that you’d need a prescription for a CPAP machine. It’s not a drug, after all. But because medical devices are regulated by the Food and Drug Administration, it’s not as simple as ordering a CPAP machine online or picking one up at your local pharmacy. Medical devices fall into one of three classifications depending on several factors. CPAP machines are considered Class II medical devices, so they require a prescription. One reason is that for people who want to use their health insurance to pay for their equipment, the prescription requirement helps to ensure the purchase is valid. There are some benefits to having your insurance cover the cost of your CPAP equipment – but our customers routinely say that buying from us is both easier and less expensive than running the purchase through their insurance policy, especially once you take deductibles into account. Aside from the red tape of insurance, a CPAP prescription is necessary because the right pressure setting varies for each patient – and only a qualified physician can help determine what’s right for you. Your CPAP prescription will specify the optimum setting for your equipment, and we will ship your CPAP machine to you preset to match your doctor’s recommendation.

Who Can Write a CPAP Machine Prescription?

There are many different medical professionals who can write your CPAP machine prescription, including:
  • Sleep specialists
  • Psychiatrists
  • Nurse practitioners and physician’s assistants
  • Dentists
  • Naturopaths
  • Medical doctors

For your convenience, you can skip the doctor’s office and get a CPAP prescription from one of the independent medical doctors we work with. Once you’ve got a prescription, your next step is choosing the CPAP machine that’s right for you – and we can help with that, too.
