The standout upgrade of the Comfort model is its fully fabric-wrapped frame. This flexible design places soft material directly against your cheeks, protecting your skin from the friction and pressure sores often caused by traditional plastic or silicone frames. Rather than utilizing traditional memory foam, the mask is equipped with a unique hybrid cushion that fuses a flexible silicone core with a soft fabric face. This configuration contours securely under the nose, providing an effective seal that eliminates painful pressure on the nasal bridge without requiring you to overtighten the headgear.

With its hose connection located at the crown of the head, this mask is ideal for active sleepers. The 360-degree rotating elbow allows air to flow through both sides of the hollow frame, giving you the complete freedom to sleep on your side, back, or stomach without tangles or restricted airflow—even if one side of the frame is compressed against a pillow.

The only difference is the frame itself, allowing you to easily swap your existing clear silicone frame for the fabric-wrapped alternative to gain added softness against your cheeks. Furthermore, if you currently own an AirFit™ F30i or AirFit™ X30i setup, the components are interchangeable, allowing you to try the fabric cushion feel without purchasing an entirely new mask kit.

Important Considerations for Best Performance

To ensure optimal performance, configure your CPAP device mask setting to Full Face. Because fabric-fused components absorb moisture and humidity over time, a 1-month replacement cycle is recommended for the cushion to maintain strict hygiene and a proper seal.

Please note that this mask features plush headgear with built-in magnetic assembly clips for quick fitting. In compliance with FDA and ResMed guidelines, these magnets must be kept at a minimum distance of 6 inches away from medical implants, such as pacemakers. Additionally, users with very high therapeutic pressures (above 20 cm $H_2O$) should note that under-the-nose style masks can be slightly more prone to minor leaks at these high ranges compared to traditional over-the-nose styles.

  • Material Trade-offs: The fabric-wrapped Comfort frame is gentler on the skin and muffles leak noises, but it absorbs facial oils and requires more frequent replacement than durable silicone.
  • Component Compatibility: Both the Clear and Comfort frames are interchangeable, allowing users to easily swap in existing ResMed F30i or X30i cushions.
  • Exhalation Port: The foam exhalation port is incredibly quiet and draft-free, but because it is not sold separately, the entire cushion must be replaced if the port gets discolored or traps moisture.
