Product Description

Cleaner air, right from your machine's outlet. The Spirit Medical Final Bacteria Filter snaps inline between your CPAP and your tubing and traps bacteria, viral particles, pollen and fine dust before the air reaches your mask. It's the same kind of inline filter many hospitals put on breathing equipment, made simple for home use.

Universal 22 mm connections fit nearly every CPAP, APAP and BiPAP machine with standard or slim tubing. Each filter is single-use and lasts about a month. Stock up with a 5 or 10 pack to bring the cost per filter down, or subscribe and save 10% on every delivery.

Compatibility

Works with: ResMed AirSense 10 and AirSense 11, Philips DreamStation, and most other home CPAP, APAP and BiPAP machines that use standard (22 mm) or slim non-heated tubing.

Not compatible with: heated tubes that plug straight into the machine for power (such as ResMed ClimateLineAir), and the ResMed AirMini travel hose.

Using a ResMed AirSense 10 or 11? Your machine has a built-in setting for inline filters that's turned off out of the box. Turning it on lets the machine account for the filter so your pressure stays on target. Watch the setup videos in the product photos above, or follow our step-by-step guide to the bacteria filter setting.

How to Install

  1. Unplug your CPAP tube from the machine's air outlet.
  2. Push the machine end of the filter onto the outlet.
  3. Connect your tube to the other end of the filter.
  4. On an AirSense 10 or 11, turn on the filter setting (see above).

Questions About This Filter

Which pack size should I get?

Each filter lasts about a month, so a 5 pack covers roughly five months and a 10 pack covers most of a year at the lowest cost per filter. If you just want to try one, start with a single filter. Subscribe & Save takes another 10% off any size.

Will this filter fit my machine?

If your machine uses a standard or slim non-heated tube, almost certainly yes. The 22 mm connections are universal across ResMed, Philips and most other brands. Not sure? Call us at 844-289-4789 and we'll confirm before you order.

Does it matter which way the filter goes on?

Yes. The end with the larger opening (22 mm ID) goes on the machine's outlet, and your tube connects to the other end. It will only seat snugly one way on most machines.

Can I wash and reuse the filter?

No. These are single-use. Washing damages the filter media and leaves moisture inside, which cuts filtration and airflow. Toss it and put in a fresh one.

Will I notice a difference in airflow?

The filter is built for low resistance, so most people don't notice it. On a ResMed AirSense 10 or 11, turning on the filter setting compensates for it completely.

Can I use it on a BiPAP?

Yes. It fits bi-level machines with standard 22 mm outlets and non-heated tubing, the same as a CPAP.

Do I need a prescription?

No. The bacteria filter is an accessory, so you can order it without a prescription.
