The Side Cover for the AirSense 11 CPAP allows you to operate your AirSense 11 without a water chamber.

 

If you have found that you do not require the Heated Humidifier with your CPAP therapy, then this product may be great for you.

 

The addition of the side cover gives you two key improvements.

1) You do not have to maintain your AirSense 11 Humidifier Chamber.

2) You will save about 2 inches on the width of the AirSense 10. That can make a nice difference on the nightstand.

The Side Cover for the AirSense 11 CPAP allows you to operate your AirSense 11 without a water chamber.

How to install your Air11 Side Cover

  1. Remove and empty your current water chamber. (Do not throw it away)
  2. Lineup your side cover on the right side of the AirSense 11.
  3. Push the side cap in until it snaps into place.
  4. You AirSense 11 will automatically disable the Heated Humidifier, and you are ready to roll.

The Airsense 11 cover is in no way a better option than the existing tank. It’s obvious that the Airsense 11 cover has even more “nooks” and “crannies” to sanitize. It has, in my opinion, hidden areas that look ideal for bacterial growth.
There are no cleaning instructions despite the obvious area of dead space that has no possible way to clean. It doesn’t even open to sanitize. At least the original tank can be rinsed an observed for pseudomonas or other bacterial growth.
Airway equipment should be clear, easy to disinfect and disposable. This cover has none of these options. The package arrived with no return instructions either. Wish me luck trying to return

So far I'm pretty satisfied, though it would be very helpful if a mask seal test could be run from the app. Having to do it from the console then moving into bed is not very convenient.
